Health Benefits of Aronia
Aronia is a very dark, tart-tasting berry that is high in polyphenols, antioxidant Vitamin A and contains two flavonoids, anthocyanin and proanthocyanin. Based on preliminary research, these compounds are believed to have antiinflammatory properties and offer a wide range of potential health benefits including positive effects on heart disease, brain health, cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and cancers.
